I've actually been on site since, and painting including ceilings and exterior is complete. I had to go there to meet with the tiler and give him the trim for the niches and I changed my floor drains to chrome to match the trim. Spent $160 that day just on those materials! I did buy two extra drain grates in case they were wrong size, hopefully they are left on site so I can return them. It was a worry when I met with the tiler because he said the plans that were drawn were lacking in detail and he was quite confused as to how the tiles were meant to be laid. I clarified verbally, and I think he understood.. I failed to check the ensuite where his apprentice was working and I'm pretty sure he did not know to add trim to the niches. I'm very keen to go there this weekend and check. I hope he at least mitred the edges. The tiles themselves look amazing. I'm also dying to see my kitchen bench top.
We only have about 5 weeks till handover, so I have been busy everyday getting quotes for our liquid limestone driveway, downlights, getting materials for letterbox and gate, skirting boards, furniture..
Being busy keeps the excitement at bay, which is good because otherwise I'd find the wait a torture.
